Cruelty-Free Silk

On an Eri silk worm farm in the Northeast of Thailand, the raw material for this wonderful silk yarn is harvested in a totally cruelty-free way: Eri silkworms eat their way out of the cocoons and fly away before the cocoon is harvested by hand.

Care Advice:

• The typical fibre properties of silk mean it has a tendency to grow after washing so please take this into consideration when swatching.
  

• When hand washing this yarn you can add a little vinegar to the final rinse, to aid colour fastness. Some excess dye might be present, especially in darker shades. Caution is advised when wearing darker colour projects with lighter shade garments (until your rinse water is clear).
