MYCOMAN :

  • Vesicular-Arbuscular Mycorrhiza (VAM) is a beneficial, mutualistic symbiosis between certain soil fungi and plant roots. The fungus penetrates the root cells, providing the plant with water and immobile nutrients (like phosphorus and zinc) in exchange for photosynthesized carbohydrates.

SANGATHI :

  • Trichoderma harzianum 1.0% WP (Wettable Powder) is a potent, eco-friendly biological fungicide and nematicide containing live spores of the beneficial fungus Trichoderma harzianum. It acts as a natural bio-control agent, protecting plant roots and seeds from soil-borne diseases by myco-parasitism and outcompeting harmful pathogens.

SUDOKU :

  • Pseudomonas fluorescens 1.0% WP is a talc-based bio-fungicide containing a minimum of \(1 \times 10^{8}\) CFU/g of beneficial Pseudomonas fluorescens bacteria. It protects crops from soil- and seed-borne fungal diseases (like wilt, blight, and root rot), controls plant-parasitic nematodes, and promotes plant growth.

Mode of Action

MYCOMAN :

  • MYCOMAN are nothing but a fungus root association. Vesicular arbuscular mycorrhizae (VAM) is an obligate symbiont and they cannot be cultured in nutrient medium. They help in plant growth through their hyphae that absorb phosphorus from the labile pool.

SANGATHI :

  • SANGATHI (Wettable Powder) is a powerful, eco-friendly bio-fungicide. Its mode of action relies on four primary mechanisms that outcompete and destroy harmful plant pathogens while boosting the crop's natural defenses. 
  • Substrate & Nutrient Competition: The beneficial fungi grow rapidly on roots and in the soil, actively consuming available carbon and nutrients. This starves harmful pathogens of their food sources and leaves them with no physical space to colonize the plant roots.
  • Mycoparasitism: The Trichoderma hyphae actively sense pathogenic fungi (like Fusarium or Rhizoctonia), coil around them, and secrete lytic enzymes (such as chitinases and glucanases) that break down the pathogen's cell walls.
  • Antibiosis: It produces secondary metabolites and volatile compounds that are highly toxic to pathogenic fungi and plant-parasitic nematodes, directly destroying them in the root zone.
