Apply through foliar spray when the pest reaches the economic threshold level.

Intrepid Insecticide Technical Name

Chlorfenapyr 10% SC

Product Specifications

Mode of Entry: Stomach and contact action with translaminar activity

Mode of Action: Intrepid contains Chlorfenapyr, which interferes with respiration and mitochondrial energy production in target insects. It prevents the production of ATP, which is required for normal cell functions. This disrupts the energy supply of the insect, causing the pest to become weak and eventually die.

Time of Application: Apply Intrepid when the pest reaches the economic threshold level.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Broad spectrum insect and mite control: Intrepid is recommended for control of diamondback moth in cabbage and mites in chilli.
  • Translaminar activity: Intrepid can move through leaf tissue and helps control pests feeding on the underside of leaves.
  • Novel mode of action: The product belongs to a novel mode of action group and interferes with respiration and mitochondrial energy production in target insects.
  • Longer duration of control: The Intrepid provides longer duration of control compared with conventional miticides and insecticides, which can lead to fewer sprays.
  • Non phytotoxic: The product is not phytotoxic when used at the recommended dosage.
  • Re entry period: The product has a re entry period of 24 hours after spraying.
