Cat. #0015910412: CAROLE KING

VERY rare authentic 8x10-inch black and white publicity portrait, boldly signed and inscribed to a noted autograph hound in the late 1980s. In good condition, with one miniscule handling ding, invisible when the photo is viewed head-on. Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter Carole King, who has been inducted into both the Songwriters Hall of Fame and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, was the most successful female songwriter of the latter half of the 20th century in the United States, having written or co-written 118 pop hits on the Billboard Top 100. Her beautiful, soul-stirring album Tapestry, released in 1971, held the record for most weeks at No. 1 by a female artist for more than 20 years.
